Pondus Resources

Developing reliable waste-derived feedstock supply chains between West Africa and Europe.

Sourcing from Africa. Supplying European markets.

Pondus Resources sources used cooking oil and animal fats from West African markets and supplies them to European biofuel buyers, with a focus on practical quality control, traceability and reliable delivery.

Registered in England and Wales

Quality

We work with suppliers and independent laboratories to assess feedstock quality and support export market requirements.

Traceability

Our focus is on building transparent supply chains with clear sourcing and shipment records from origin to delivery.

Sustainability

By recovering waste-derived feedstocks, Pondus supports circular resource use and lower carbon fuel production.

What we trade

Waste-derived feedstocks for European biofuel and circular resource markets.

Current focus includes used cooking oil, animal fats and selected industrial by-product oils.

01 / Used Cooking Oil (UCO)

Used Cooking Oil

Collected from food service, hospitality and commercial catering operations. Feedstocks are sampled and tested for key parameters including FFA, moisture, impurities, density, iodine value and sulphur where required. Transported in flexitanks or ISO containers depending on volume, specification and buyer requirements.

02 / Animal Fats & Tallow

Animal Fats & Tallow

Waste-derived animal fats, tallow, suet and slaughterhouse fat streams sourced through approved commercial and industrial channels. Specifications vary by category, fat content, moisture and intended end use, with demand across biodiesel, HVO and biogas markets.

03 / Industrial By-Product Oils

Soapstock, Acid Oils & Related Streams

Pondus is developing supply opportunities for soapstock, acid oils, crude glycerine and other industrial by-product oils linked to biofuel and biogas markets. These materials are assessed case by case based on fat content, moisture, contamination, logistics and buyer specification.

Quality framework

How we manage product integrity.

Every parcel passes a structured four-stage protocol.

Origination Assessment

Initial quality and documentation review.

02

Pre-shipment Sampling

Independent sampling and lab testing.

03

Third-party Inspection

04

Delivery Certification

Certificates finalised and goods released.

Independent surveyors conduct pre-shipment and discharge surveys. Documentation packages include certificates of quality, certificates of origin, and mass balance statements aligned with European biofuels documentation standards.

Geography

Where we operate.

About

Why Pondus exists.

The Market Gap

African waste-stream feedstocks represent a structurally under-exploited resource for European biofuel producers. Fragmented local collection, inconsistent quality standards and limited export logistics have historically constrained supply.

Our Approach

Pondus applies commodity trading discipline to a supply chain that has traditionally operated informally. Quality management, compliance documentation and reliable logistics are embedded in the operating model from origin to delivery.

Differentiation

What sets Pondus apart.

01

Deep Origination Focus

Exclusive concentration on African origin markets builds supplier relationships and logistical knowledge that generalist traders do not replicate.

02

Compliance-First Operations

Documentation treated as a core product component, not an afterthought. Buyers receive complete compliance packages.

03

Commercial Approach

We work directly with suppliers, logistics partners and buyers to develop dependable long term supply relationships.

04

Waste-Derived Only

All material supplied is waste-derived feedstock — no virgin vegetable oils and no land-use change exposure. RED II / Annex IX details available on request.
